Visit the town of Hastings where you will find a preserved Old Town which lies in a valley between the East and West Hills, each with its own funicular railway. We continue on to the ancient and picturesque town of Rye was originally one of the most important channel ports. Here you should visit the cobbled Mermaid Street which still retains many of its 15th - 16th century buildings.
