From here we’ll also visit Liège in Belgium and its Christmas Village and Cologne in Germany which offers a total of seven Christmas markets.

Day 1
TO VALKENBURG
Following our Channel crossing to Calais, we make our way to Valkenburg where we stay for the next four nights. (D)
Day 2
LIÈGE CHRISTMAS MARKET
We'll cross the border into Belgium and visit Liège which hosts one of Belgium's oldest and largest Christmas markets, known as the Christmas Village (Le Village de Noël). It is spread across three main locations featuring more than 200 wooden chalets.
Day 3
VALKENBURG CHRISTMAS MARKET
Spend the day exploring the Christmas markets in Valkenburg. There are two markets to visit - The Velvet Cave, the smaller of the two and the Municipal Cave which is the largest and oldest underground Christmas market in Europe. (B, D)

COLOGNE CHRISTMAS MARKET
Travelling into Germany we visit the city of Cologne which offers a total of seven Christmas Markets. Among them the Christmas market at near Cologne Cathedral is the most impressive one due to the huge backdrop of the imposing Cathedral. (B, D)
Day 5
FROM VALKENBURG
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home. (B)
